Sutton Christian Centre has a heart for serving our neighbours in Sutton. Our current community links include the following:
Caring for Seniors
Members of the congregation at SCC have visited seniors in Care and Nursing homes since the 1970s! We now lead weekly Sunday services in the homes as well as making regular pastoral visits to those we meet there. Sutton Christian Centre is also part of a group of churches from across the borough who work together to put on an annual ‘Summertime Special for Seniors’.
Members of the church have had a weekly involvement in leading assemblies in our local primary schools since 1990. We have now joined with the Sutton Schoolswork team, continuing to take assemblies and to participate in ‘The Easter Experience’ and ‘Discover Christmas’ drama events.
Tate Road Tots
The good reputation of our Tuesday morning Toddler group within the local community is seeing its numbers growing each week. You can find out more by clicking here.
AgeUK Sutton host their dance sessions for older people in the church hall each Wednesday morning. For more information, click here.
Sutton Uplift run a weekly session in our church house (25 Tate Road) on Thursday afternoons. For further details, click here.
We are a collection point for the Sutton Foodbank, a charity which provides emergency food for people in crisis.
